Valcourt, Québec, November 18, 2011 – Beginning November 22, ATV riders can earn 256 chances to win a brand-new 2012 Can-Am® Outlander™ 1000 XT™ or Renegade™ 1000 X™ xc during the Can-Am 4x4x4x4 Sweepstakes held exclusively on Facebook. Follow four simple steps and you’ll earn up to 256 entries into the drawing for the ATVs to be held on January 18, 2012. Each step of the Can-Am 4x4x4x4 Sweepstakes competition multiplies your chances of winning a brand new machine by four times.
First, participants must log on to: Can-Am Off-Road | Facebook, and click on the Can-Am 4x4x4x4 Sweepstakes competition to receive four chances to win the ATV of his or her choice. Second, agree to be a lifetime fan of Can-Am ATVs, and multiply the entries by an additional four times, making the total 16 entries. The third step is to refer Facebook friends to the sweepstakes, and if one of your friends registers in the competition, entries are multiplied again by four, bringing the total to 64 entries.
The final step to send the entry count to 256 is to visit a local Can-Am ATV dealer and have a photo taken with a Can-Am ATV in the dealership. Then, upload the image inside the Facebook sweepstakes application. If the picture follows the sweepstakes rules, the entrant's chances of winning are multiplied by four again — bringing the grand total to 256 entries!

BRP received the coveted 2011 “Best of the Best” Award in the Side-By-Side ATV category from Field & Stream magazine with its Can-Am Commander 1000 side-by-side vehicle.
The Best of the Best awards, now in its 14th year, have a stringent list of prerequisites and recognize products relevant to the hunting and fishing industry. The side-by-side award, which is based on merit and is not necessarily awarded annually, honours ATV and off-road vehicle manufacturers for their dedication to offering machines that meet the demands of the competitive hunting and fishing consumer.
“Our staff spent the better part of the past year finding and testing the gear that will make readers’ time in the woods more productive and more fun,” says Slaton White, Deputy Editor of Field & Stream. “The winning products not only withstood our rigorous test, but they stood head and shoulders above the rest. These are the items we consider to be the best of the year; worth your time, worth your money.”
The magazine editors said the award will also firmly establish the Commander side-by-side’s credibility in the competitive ATV hunting and fishing market. Winning products not only have to survive the testing, but also have to stand out and take the industry to the next level to be bestowed with the honour.

The Best of the Best award recipients are judged by strict criteria, including: the significance of the innovation; the quality of the design and the finished product; the originality of thought; and the ambition and scope of the project. The Can-Am Commander 1000 XT side-by-side vehicle, like other winning products, was put through a rigorous three-month testing session with the Field & Stream test crew.

Can-Am Outlander 800R X MR ATV Named 2011 ‘ATV of The Year’ by ATV Magazine |

ATV Magazine, a Minnesota-based off-road publication named the Can-Am Outlander 800R X mr ATV as its 2011 “ATV of the Year.” This is the fifth time BRP's Can-Am ATV has received the prestigious award.
“Receiving this honour is a substantial accomplishment for everyone at BRP,” stated Bernard Guy, vice-president, Sales and Marketing, Can-Am. “To have the Outlander 800R X mr ATV recognized for its unmatched engineering, industry-leading innovation and cutting-edge appearance is rewarding. It’s the perfect form of encouragement for all the dedicated work put in by our design, engineering and marketing teams as they work together to produce Can-Am ATVs that continue to lead the marketplace.”
In 1999, the Traxter 500 ATV was the first BRP product to win the “ATV of the Year” award. The Outlander 400 (2003) and Outlander 650 (2006) models were also honoured with this award. ATV Magazine’s sister publication, ATV Sport, also recognized the Can-Am DS 450 as the 2008 “Sport Quad of the Year.” The 2010 Can-Am Renegade 800R X xc ATV was last year's recipient.
