This will be a review of the installation and performance of the KewlTek brake kit installed on a 06 800 Outlander.....

The quality of the parts seems to be very good.

The packing list....everything is here.

Preparation included taking off the front rack and the front fender. About 15 minutes. I would recommend have a few extra plastic rivets on hand in case you break any.

The installation took a little longer than we anticipated but basically only because we had some trouble bleeding the system.

The directions were pretty good and provided enough images/illustrations to make every thing clear.

OK... How does it work? GREAT! Stopping seems much better when using both brake levers and even though it's been about 3 years since I had a right hand lever, it just feels right to have it there.

I would recommend this system if you want better stopping performance, want the safety of a front only hold on hills etc or if you just plain miss it from your old Jap bikes brake controls.

NOTE: The kid in me kicked in andI had to see if I could "brake lock" the Outty. It put those 29.5's up in a cloud of smoke without any trouble.
