This will be a review of the installation and performance of the KewlTek brake kit installed on a 06 800 Outlander.....
The quality of the parts seems to be very good. The packing list....everything is here. ![]() Preparation included taking off the front rack and the front fender. About 15 minutes. I would recommend have a few extra plastic rivets on hand in case you break any. The installation took a little longer than we anticipated but basically only because we had some trouble bleeding the system. The directions were pretty good and provided enough images/illustrations to make every thing clear. OK... How does it work? GREAT! Stopping seems much better when using both brake levers and even though it's been about 3 years since I had a right hand lever, it just feels right to have it there. I would recommend this system if you want better stopping performance, want the safety of a front only hold on hills etc or if you just plain miss it from your old Jap bikes brake controls.
