TJD XTrack conversion system

hey all, i found a set of xtracks (not xgen) on kijiji that came off the same bike that i have. i have conversed with the owner and it seems that the price is right.

im just curious about this system. it kinda looks like the tatou 4s design, not the xgen with the built in suspension.

does anyone run this kit? is it good/bad? any stories or pics would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance

Hey Smokey dude ... tracks are GREAT fun !!

These X-Tracks look a lot like the Original Tatous which were a snow only track where these are a four season track.

I haven't seen these tracks personally, but here are some thnigs to think about ... 1) The front track is very flat ... which will make it more difficult to steer ... more than say the Tatou 4s tracks like I have ?? ... Not sure, but it will take more effort.

2) Also the front tracks being flat are gonna throw more snow up on you & the machine ... I mean, I get covered now if the winds right, but if ya don't want snow on you .... of course, this only happens at speed.

Now some good things about these X-tracks ... they have a very sturdy frame ... if they are like the Original Tatou tracks, very easy to pull the bogie wheels off & change a bearing ... if you ever need to that is ... and these are four-season ... gotta love that ... and they give you way more ground clearance then my Tatou 4s tracks ...

If the price is right, I'd get'em & Enjoy the Crap Out Of Them Dude !! ...

ok, so i talked to the owner and i've made the verbal comittment to purchase. i may have them as early as thursday (the owner may have to come to the city) or as late as the weekend after next.

im super stoked to have a set of tracks! ive wanted them for years. i will post some pics as soon as i get them and somemore once they are mounted.

heres the pics from the add

the pics are kinda blurry but the track looks good in the second one right?

I'd say the tracks SHOULD work fine with the lift ......... and you'll have to put the tracks on with & without the spacers to see if they can be left off or if you'll need'em on still.
