I'm looking to replace the Carlisle Badlands on the wife's Sportsman 500. I like the wayt the badlands handle on the trails, they just are a bit puncture prone for the terrain we cover. I'm pleased with the performance of the PXT's on my Sportsman 800 so far, And I really liked the Goodyear Rawhides I had on my 600.

So, with that being said, what's the best tire for occasional light mudding, and general wooded trail riding?

Carlisle ACT radials. These are the stockers that come with the XT package on the Outlanders. The same as the PXT and Wetlands. Great general trail riding tire, pretty good in mud too up to a point

The Polaris PXT's are rebadged Carlisle ACT's. I definitely consider these an excellent tire.
