My speedo is now healed...

Ordered a speedohealer for when I run tracks. Don't care much about speedo accuracy, but don't want to rack up 2x the miles on the odo when tracking. Had an issue with the first unit (apparently extremely rare). Customer service was 10/10 and sent out a new one right away. Works perfect now! I highly recommend the product.

If you have tracks and no speedohealer your odometer will show about twice as many km as you actually traveled, and you speed will read way to high.

The speedohealer can be programmed to correct both ways....faster or slower.

So yes, you want one and should go ahead and order it!

The speedohealer doesn't care if your speedometer reads mph or kmph... it's doing a "percentage" function (addition or subtraction) to the signal coming from the speed sensor - that's just 12vdc pulses - on or off at a rapid rate.

First one... 30 mins - most of that time is spent determining where to mount the included micro toggle switch, should you purchase that model. The rest of the time is removing / reinstalling panels, should you have a Gen 2 machine.

Second and subsequent installations can be done in 10 mins as you know what you are doing.

Boils down to gaining access to the speed sensor/main harness mating plugs - unplug. Then plugging the SpeedoHealer's harness in between the halves you just unplugged. Plug the Healer's harness into the control head. At this point, it's functional, just not tidied up.

Why would you want a speedohealer if you don't have tracks? Bigger tires? heh heh, guess with an XMR you may have smaller tires?
Check out the site ... lots of info what it can do ... you have options.

That Canadian site isn't offering the same thing that Metric PowerSports is providing us.

Metric PowerSports offers the Remote Toggle units - with waterproof buttons.
They also offer the Top Speed Memory units - with waterproof buttons. - Everyone else just offers the Standard Top Speed Memory units - without waterproof buttons.

Metric PowerSports makes their own wiring harnesses - heavier gage wire, shrink tubed with epoxy - no worries about dragging them thru the mud. Everyone else carries the Standard offering of wiring harnesses - which are made for Motorcycles - on road - not even submerged applications. Nor are they long enough to place the Healer head anywhere remotely convenient.

Metric PowerSports kits include extremely detailed instructions with PICS on where the speed sensor plug is. Others just say "find the speed sensor plug".

Try calling or e-mailing any other vendor after hours or on Sundays and see if they answer. Try asking other vendors to help you with the calculations on making your speedometer read spot on. Metric PowerSports does all 3.

Last but not least, call up any other vendor and ask what the SpeedoHealer does for the ACS or speed limiter on an Xmr... or how it affects the timing retard as the speed limiter is approached on ANY Can-Am. You'll either get silence, an "Uhhhhh" or blatantly lied to.

Metric PowerSports got exclusivity on healers for the Can-Am line for North America because he knows what he's doing. I don't believe there is ANY other SpeedoHealer vendor that makes their own wiring harnesses or installation instructions - they just give what's included with the Healer (provided by the manufacture of the Healer (HealTech) but extremely generic) and sell whatever harness Healtech makes - which again, is made like every other harness - which are ALL for motorcycles.

I know, because over the years, I've bought from both "the typical vendor" as well as from "Metric PowerSports". Robert's not in it just to sell a healer - he's in it to make sure the healer is the solution you need - if it's not, he won't sell it to you. That and he offers an unconditional money back guarantee.
