Default fuel pump problems and throttle response

hello i was wondering if anyone else was having this problem i have a 09 800r outlander and my fuel pressure and idle is 34-38 wich is low and throttle response is slow motor boggs down sometimes some times after coming off high rpms it will back fire it just sounds slike it missing when idling i dunnno can some one help i have already drained out gas and cleaned tank there was dirt inside tank cleaned screen on fuel pump and tank add new gas still same problem....anyone got any ideas

Your fuel pump is shot. Lol I went through three of them in my Outty and many of my friends got them replaced too so I'm sure It's a known problem. Check for loose battery connections because that will cause funny symptoms like that too. But I'm pretty sure its a fuel pump. Do you have any warranty left?

no i dont i deffinetly appreciate it. I have heard there is awat to just replace the fuel pump its self instead of the whole piece. Its an acdelco fuel pump but i cant find the part number. How did u do urs?

You did the right thing by trying to clean everything first. It sounds like your pump is shot, but did you check the in-line filter? There should be no resistance when you blow through it. The Airtex aftermarket pump # is E8213.

You can get just the pump on ebay cheap. There are plenty of write ups on how to change it out. Not a difficult job.

there isnt a in-line filter its a screen filter, unless there is one somewhere else

Yes there's one on the right hand side of your bike, on the frame under the seat above the gearbox. Just follow the fuel line from the tank, it's located just before the line splits to go to both injectors.

hey i just wanted to say thanks for everyones info i changed the fuel pump out last night and it was the problem runs alot better and it the reason it was bad was because i got sand in my gas tank from riding in deep muddy water due to the gas cap i ordered a billet gas cap off ebay that supppose to wrk bettter well c
