cv boot replacment

i'm in the middle of changing an inner rear boot on my 2015 xtp 1000...the problem I'm having is popping the section off that goes into the diff...I've watched numerous videos on youtube where they use a strap wrapped around it and pop it out...ive tried this plenty of times with no success...it is the left side of the bike and in the videos they pull the right side off first then left...do I have to do the same ?...im stumped and losing patience...thank you for any response...

You have to remove the trailing arm and then you will be able to pop the cv axle out of the diff. I have had to do mine twice now.
