2012 Can-am Outlander 1000 Family

New from the ground up, the 2012 Can-Am Outlander 1000 features an innovative ride quality and superlative comfort levels that not only make it a viable option for trail riders, but also furthers its appeal to hardcore off-road enthusiasts by enhancing its proven high-performance characteristics.

Using Computer-Aided Vehicle Dynamics (CAVD) software, BRP engineers took an innovative approach to all aspects of the chassis of this new-generation Outlander. The goal, bring the knowledge of new-wave geometries gained through years of testing that would challenge traditional thinking in the off-road world. The result are principles of design we call Geometric Contact Control. This allows the chassis of the next-generation Outlander to deliver the hardcore performance the Can-Am brand is known for, yet enhance the overall comfort of the vehicle at all levels of riding.

The next generation Outlander maintains its unrivaled engine performance with a new 976cc Rotax V-Twin, industry- leading horsepower and a stellar power-to-weight ratio, all of which are integral attributes for a modern rec-utility ATV.
