Would it fit? The foam from the OL seat to the Renegade seat is very different in size/shape. U can just swap out the whole seat if U could find one for cheap.

I have to recover my seat. It has 3 large cracks in it from the cold last winter. Any ideas on the best material to use to cover it? Or how much a new seat would cost?

Thanks in advance.

well the outlander seats take on water as well. I bet my seat weighs close to 50 lbs.It will not dry out. I can stand it up in the sun for a week and it feels just as heavy after a week.

I know the feeling. Even the Texas heat can't dry mine out.

X seats do take on water. The stitching lets alot in, but they dry out in a few hours if you stand them up in the sun.

My dealer ordered me the cover and they sent it to an upholstery shop to get it put on for me. The seat looks good, I haven't really got it too wet so I dont know? My brother in law lucked up...they gave him the seat right off a X on the showroom floor.

If someone got a seat-cover and took it to an upholstery shop, I'd think they could put a layer of somethingin between to make it more water-friendly. :2cent:
