How does this work... Would a person send U their motor or what?
I had rather do it this way, but I could provide some instructions, should someone be inclined to do it themselves. It's really a good deal the way I have made fixtures to do it, quick, accurate, CNC machined. I invested lotsa time in making fixtures to do this operation to make a top notch job, without lotsa hassle. if you price doing it with all the operations I include, I guarantee you won't find a better deal. I done the first one, and it took a lot of time, just setting it up, just to do one motor. Then I thought there has to be a better way, so that's when I designed and built this fixture, so I could keep the accuracy spot on, while at the same time getting it done at a reasonable price. In a machine shop, time is money, and the way I did the first one, I'd have to charge so much, you couldn't afford it.
I prolly will offer an exchange, if someone wants to do it this way. A person could order one, and send their old engine in, while I send their new engine out. Or they could send it in, have me remove their heads, BBK their block, then reinstall their heads, after I mod their heads, should they want them modded, or install the stockers, whichever way. If your stock pistons and/or stock jugs are shot, I don't care, as they are replaced with the kit. For a core, I'd need a good crank, block, and heads, though, jugs and pistons don't matter.

Oh yeah, I'm getting a pro to work on my site. What's up now is just me making a pitiful attempt at web design! I'll post back in a little while when the site is up and running, until then, NO PEEKING! I don't know how to take it down.

having greg do the motor and crank work is a very good deal. i could see a shop charging easily twice as much and it probably won't be as accurate. with good fixturing, setup times are greatly reduced, which is where most of the cost will come from if you have another shop do the work.

Thanks for the explanation...It does sound a lot easier just to send you the motor and let U do it, so we know it's done right.

Wowzers I am starting to get pretty interested in this.... I wish the damn exchange rate wasn't so poor right now, Either way, what does just the basic BBK provide for horsepower??

If you are asking about just installing a big bore, with no other changes, I haven't dynoed it this way, yet. I do recomend cams and porting, at least, as it is cheap, and will allow more power out of the big bore. I kept it to where the stock heads could be used, so people could reuse the stockers, and upgrade their heads later on, should they choose to. Also, if someone has upgraded heads now, they'll work too.
On the crank dyno, I got 106hp, with pump gas, and as far as heads go, I used Ron Woods cams, with 2mm oversize valves, and a full port-n-polish, along with an '09 intake. I have cams of my own coming out, and will be testing them, when I get them. I also have a BRP race intake to try too, and if it does good, I'll see about having them cast from aluminum, and make them available to the masses, unlike the BRP piece.

Thanks! I think most people would like to have mods like these, if they were available. I just built this stuff for mine, and decided to make it available to all, with more ideas coming.

I put the Woods pistons (12:1) in my 09 800R and picked up about 2 to 4 HP...just seat of the pants vs. CC1999's 800R.. just guessing on the HP increase since we have not dynoed them yet..same day. ..same dyno shop..
Both are piped and PCIII tuned...
