If it's welded, then no, it won't work. You'll have to put the bolt style carrier in.

CLUTCHING vs GEARING are two totally different animals. I dont see the point in using either one for a bandaid. If you did that much work to your machine then get the gears AND an STM setup. Now that combined with a big bore kit would be quite impressive, to say the least.

how are the gears coming along, any idea when we can get a report on them or some testing news

Ain't gonna be available, they won't hold up. I'd have to redesign the whole gear housing, and that makes it too expensive to sell.

What about a gear reduction kit for the transmission? You can get them for other atv's but not for can-am's.

that's not going to stop breaking through shafts, drive shafts, and differentials. it could actually make breaking those parts easier.

They do actually make them though, as well as taller gears. They are pricey though.
