Yep, we drove all nite, got back at 5:00 am this morning. I would guess that a machine with 29.5's would still run 50mph with 5.00 to 1 gears in it, in high range. Then you'd still have low for real nasty stuff.

got wake?, have you ever ran yours wide open down the road, without the cover to see where the clutch is at? I'd guess it was about half way up the primary at around 50mph.
that would require a camera pointed at the primary since my balls aren't big enough to open it up to 50 mph and look down :tg: just figuring 29.5 vs. 26, there's a 13.46% difference. so if the stock bike will do say 70, if i had the testicular fortitude to crank it up to 70 on the speedo, i should be doing roughly 79.42 mph. halfway up the clutch would be about 40 mph. 50 mph on the speedo with 29.5's should be at about 71% on the clutch.

Damn wake you are good! Could you figure out running 29.5's or round up to 30's, what gear ratio you would need to turn those tires and bring it back to the near stock ratio? Know what I mean? With 29.5's and a 3.60 ratio what would the final drive be? Like 2.90 (just guessin). So would ya need like 4.5 ratio to bring 30's back to 3.6 final drive?

i don't know about the gear ratios, but its easy to calculate the height difference between the tires. figuring a 3.6 ratio stock, adding 13.46% to that would put it at a 4.0846 ratio.

..........I'll go ahead and say IT WON'T BE CHEAP, but if I can get enuf people to commit to some, I can have more buying power to leverage price with. I won't speculate on price until I have some numbers to give them so they can give me a price based on numbers. I know you guys are shy about committing, without knowing a price, so we have to start somewhere. Post about what a reasonable price would be, and don't be shy, let's give them some real numbers. Made in enuf quantity, they could actually turn out to be really reasonable.
I'm gonna guess it will eat up a 500 dollar bill, real easy.

Yes, we're talking about the diffs go back-n-read the first post, I put lotsa info in there.

I'm hoping to get them started for around $500, BUT I want to be able to sell them for around $250, each, or $500 for the pair. I don't know if it'll ever get there, but I'm gonna try. I know car ring & pinions are around $200, but there isn't that much volume in these, which runs the price up, but there's not as much metal in these either. I do know some people will pay $500 or $600 each for them, but I won't be able to sell as many.

The market for aftermarket parts for atv's is big, I'm just trying to make some manufacturers realize how big it is, and hope to be able to make it bigger to help promote the sport. The bigger it gets, the less it costs all of us. In other words, the bigger it gets the cheaper it is to have fun, and in this economy, we need all we can get.

Well let me say that they are worth at least $500 a piece ($1000 a set) and if you are selling them for $500 a pair, then everyone should jump on this. I had an arctic cat and when the 4:0 diffs came out we bought them like hot cakes for almost $1000 a set. $500 a set is a steel!!!!!!!!!

Chime in boys....If he can get them for $500 for both....WOW!!!!

Yea I paid $1,000 for the 4.0 gears to be installed when they first came out.

It will only be a matter of time before diff gears for quads are available with several selections.

Thanks MRRPM for trying to get these available.

I know Richard from Germany said he should have some within 3 or 4 months. He got a front and rear diff and is working on the gears now.

Gearing is EVERYTHING for racing,pulling,mudding....

Just think......1004cc with aftermarket ECM, 5.0 gears and you have yourself a real machine.
