Well, I had THOUGHT I COMPLETELY covered mine with HEAT tape... LOL.....
It DID last a few seasons and it is NOT cheap for these rolls of heat tape...
BUT...
I took on water in my CVT this last ride, and it was when I got in water deep enough to come to the A in the Can Am, I guess... I know I have rode in deeper this season already the way the creeks are, BUT......
I had to stop, and help my buddy on his GRIZZLY, that is NOT snorked, and as I sit there and IDLED, I must have took on water in my CVT, ...

I have always been FINE, with some throttle, and the REASON I snorked mine is to be rid of the little water that gets into the CVT, at LOW RPM...
HMMMMMM>>.....

This is with the HEAT TAPE pulled back a bit... WoW!!!

So... LESSON LEARNED again for ME...

CHECK YOU CVT EXHAUST every season of creek/mud/RIDE...........

I however, DID know it was slipping, so I did NOT get on it at all.. Just a tad....

And once again, I had HOT BLACK WATER come out of my drain, when I FINALLY got it outta the hole with my buddy on his GRIZZ, and drained it...
MAN....

Yes on the vents, or you will end up with mud/debri insidete tank and on the pre filter of the fuel pump like mine did as well s a bunch of other people...

I used rubber couplers found at lowes or most any hardware or plumbing store to connect the hose to the pvc pipes and fittings....
