my first quads I used for plowing and driving around my 2 acre yard if it is clean and in great shape I would not be afraid at all is seems like the 400 run forever. I dont think 75/300 is bad on a machine that just might have been used the same way I used mine before all my buddies got quads and we started hitting the trails

Thanks for all the input, it's helpful.

Assuming it is in excellent used condition, what's a fair offer? If you were buying it, would you pay $3500 for it? $4000?

Well it's an 05 so I'd push for the lower end of $3,000 because of the economy and there seem to be a lot of used quads on the market right now. I think $4,000 is a bit high. I looked at an 04 that was advertised as having only 65 original miles, yeah the speedo said 65 but it was NOT working and the hours were well over 100. The guy claimed the key was left on, yeah, thats why the brakes and tires were so worn?? So make sure the speedo is working LOL.

I decided to pull the trigger and bought the 400 yesterday. It's super clean and judging by the wear on the original tires I'd say that it's low miles (290) are right. I ended up paying $3400 with the plow and winch. I think that's a pretty good deal.

Sounds like you did pretty good! Plow and a winch would cost you some change so nice to have.
