Default can I start without a gauge cluster?

Hey guys, I am rebuilding my 07 renegade that had a nice unfortunate roll over.
I have purchased all the pieces needed in order to get it running again, however my gauge cluster hasnt arrived yet.

Last night, I went to try to start it.. I heard the fuel pump priming, but no ignition. When I jumpered the starter solenoid, it cranked but sounds like no spark as it just kept cranking with no start.

I don't have a gauge cluster plugged in, will this prevent it from getting ignition?

Thanks,

anthony

dang. I gotta figure out why mine wont start.

I ordered a new cluster, but it hasnt arrived.
the old one got 'lost' in the 'rollover'

I hear the fuel pump prime.. but no crank.
if I jump the crank, itll crank but wont start.. something is telling it not to start.. i may be forced to take it to the dealer.

thats exactly what happens when a key breaks (does everything but crank & will wind if solenoid jumped) but that may be the same symptom of all that ign related stuff.

It will start and run just fine without it. I recently put my plastics back together in a hurry and forgot to plug it in. It ran just fine.

Yes, it will run. If there is any security, dess or ecm problem it will not crank.

Check the ignition fuse and your coil is plugged in.

OK, so my cluster finally came in.
I plugged it in.

it says "Check Engine"

However, when i check the service manual, it says go to the engine hour screen, (Which I do)
press and hold the button while quickly flashing my high/low switch. but nothing happens..

Heres what I replaced in the rollover. (besides all the plastics)
I needed a new gauge cluster, Throttle sensor (TPS), fuel rail (was able to reuse the stock injector) and a new "start" switch assembly. the rest is non electrical parts.
