went to our not so local local stealership, looked around and i was just sitting on different atvs when i made my way to a kawasaki bayou. i put my foot on the side and it leaned over, hmm a 250 with irs? i looked under the back and NO... it was a solid rear axle! hmm that got me thinking, how does it work? looked and studied it and that brought me to my most recent project..................4 linking my 02 quest 650 sra

ill try and post daily progress. so watcha think?

there was a guy in texas a couple of years ago that turned an old 350 wolverine into an IRS. From what i remember reading he just took the swingarm off, welded a box off the back to set the differential in and fabbed up some a arms, or for that matter ya could do trailing arms like on the newer can ams, that is quite popular in custom buggies, anyway, Seems like he used a grizzly 660 chunk and cv joints. From the write up it seemed fairly simple for someone mechanically inclined with a little knowledge of suspention geometry.

update, and not a good one. the 4link is coming great but dad says it WILL be unsafe and i cant ride it think oh, well he couldnt do it. i have pics to post and that jeep pic in my profile is mine and I built it. i know its not right but in all hopes im goimg to fully box all of the mount supports and already i have had to weld the top bridge onto the swingarm mount and braced it all nice and tight
