I use Bombardier suspension grease for u-joints and front suspension grease zerks. Part number 293 550 033. I grease mine every 1000 miles. There are a total of eleven zerk fittings. Three on u-joints and eight on front suspension.:aniwh:

What is the reasoning in doing it say every 1000 miles versus 250 miles. I have seen talk of greasing after every water ride, or every other without water.

Everyone chime in here and get some good grease "101" going, im interested......

There are two zerks on each A arm, upper and lower for a total of eight. There is one on front u-joint and two on the rear u-joints. The vehicle manual doesn't identify all of them. I don't ride in mud if I can avoid it and in general don't ride in deep water. For those that do they should be greased more often. :aniwh:

Did anyone but me have trouble getting gease into the rear universals. I replaced the one closest to the motor with a 90 deg. zerk but could not get the rear one out. I held the gease gun on as tight as possible and got gease in with a lot of mess. Any ideas to make this easier?

Take the grease coupler off the gun and grind it flat on two sides, just be careful not to grind too much off. This is what I did and you canget it on enough to get it to take grease.

Also someone on another thread about this said if you keep turning it, you will hit a sweet spot that the gun will fit into.
