I paid 55.00 cdn labour for an oil change and to program a new key. Total including new key,oil and filter was 132.00. I don't think they adjusted my valves. I didn't think it was needed after only 10 hrs??? ( yea or nea ). Ive never adjusted them on my Kodiak and it has over 3000 kms on it.

The dealer forgot to reset my computer so it still says maintain soon. This won't make it run in limp mode down the road later will it?

Update on my previous post. I took it to the dealer and he reset mine for free. He also gave me the new can am stickers to put on the outlander 650.

Just got mine back yesterday. Ended being FREE! Was suppose to be done yesterday, I called and checked at 4 PM. He told me he would get back with me when had time. I told him it takes me over hourto get there and it's suppose to be done today. He called me back within 5 minutes and said come pick it up NO CHARGE.

FYI... The valves did not need adjusting.

No charge from my dealer. Changed oil myself before taking it in, but he said he would have included that too.

What he did mostly is ck for loose bolts. Valve adjustment not necessary unless they're making noise.

I had the same deal when I called to make an appointment for the 10 hour service.Iasked for service, some woman answered and said they didn't have time for a while to do a service that takes 10 hours.:lololol: I won't sleep till Thursday when I get mine back. Then I will be wondering (forever)what actually was done. The first service costingAnythingisa shafting after spending the most $$in the industry for a wheeler. You guys that are not paying are doing something right.

My dealer said when it needs the first service to book it for a Sat. when I had 3 hours to spare. He would show me how to do everything so next time I wouldn't need to bring it to him if I wanted to do the servicing myself. He said that they would make sure I knew how to change all fluids, filters. The thing is it isfree and he is programming an extra key for free too. I really don't see how you could pay $180 for the first service. The dealer must think he will make his money on the first service and expect to never see you again. And he should if he is charging that much. No way I would give thatdealer anymore business. To each his own.
