I took some picswith an infrared thermometer of mine after a 20 minute ride.



The bottom of the seat was right at 160*F and the cross pipe under the frame was almost 600*F!mg:



The other pipe was right at 400*F so I see why everyone is feeling the heat!

Mine gets really hot also but nothing is melting..

I was thinking about a piece of insulation, like a blanket, to lay across the frame etc., under the seat, until I can get it coated.

I think I am going to order some of the High Tech Black coating and spray mine and possiblyBigT25's also if he decides he wants to have his done.:dan:



I have used something similar to that on every header and exhaust manifold on my Mustangs and other vehicles in the past.
