Finally saw the races on espn 2,sat. 6/24 at 8:30 am. Those dudes have more courage & tougher, much younger bodies than I. A guy on a king quad won. It looked to me like he won because he was going over the logs on the left side & most other riders were using theright side. That dude had the timing down on the logs except once he hit them at wrong speed & 2 or3 people passed him.

The shocks those quads use are killer. When they landed from the jumps they looked like trophy truck suspension, no bounce at all, just absorbed the landing. However going over the rocky areaall the quads beat the drivers up.

I can see why they need tire balls. I am looking forward to seeing more.

thanks -- maxdun

I saw that race too. For a time it was 1,2,3 for BRP. As you said, the guy on the King Quad made up all his time on the logs. Do you think this had anything to do with the Viscolock-equipped Outlanders or that nobody else took the left side line? Another surprise was that once on the flats, the 800 Outlanders didn't outpower the King Quad although I doubt anyone's running a stock engine. Still, the 800's should have drove right past the guy, unless these were 650's due to class rules (I missed the first 5 minutes so don't know).

Very enjoyable race to watch, much more so than the 450 sport class. I hope this becomes a regular thing.
