No tickets on my system as it's totally legal and more secure then most tie-straps.

Last summer I went through an MTO road side inspection and they were handing out tickets like crazy.
My tiedown system passed with flying colors.
The inspector commented that the majority of people focus so much on the straps themselves that they fail to recognize a secure anchor point.
They also commented on ATV winch as being an illegal tie off point.

Default atv mighty tite

Hello stubbyone50,
You had questions about the ATV Mighty TiTe system. First, is there a place for a padlock thru the lockdown mechanism incase you have to leave your vehicle unattended? Yes there is a place to instsll a Lock thru the tension arm. Is the lockdown mechanism adjustable so it will fit Independent Rear Suspended quads, specifically Can-Am's TTI rears? Also yes, The ATV Mighty TiTe system will work fine on an Independent Suspension. And how much does it cost to ship the kit? This varies according to your location. The sytem in the box weighs about 40 lbs.
The price doesn't seem too bad, there's a lot of steel in there, plus fabricating, welding and powder coating. Not to mention the designing and patent costs. I am presently having discussions with a manufacturer in Tenn. which hopefully will get the sale cost down to around the $200 mark. I designed this system to be Fast and Strong. The fabrication prices are what they are. I don't want to produce a marginal product because I use this system myself. I lost a 4 wheeler off a trailer years ago and DO NOT want to go thru that again. Your machine is a big investment in your fun and is worth protecting with the best equipment you can get. You mentioned keeping your 4 wheeler away from the back window of your truck-I also took out the window in a truck with mine. The ATV Mighty Tite system prevents that from happening. When you slide the front wheel cages in place, they can't go forward any further. I don't like the permanent mounted tire chocks because I haul all kinds of stuff in the bed (like sheet lumber) so I like how this system is removable. The ATV Mighty TiTe components slide on and slide off in seconds so you can use your trailer for other things. I haul gravel, firewood, refrigerators and everything else. After dealing with ratchet straps 6 or 8 times a weekend sometimes, this system looks right up my alley. Make sure you post another thread on this forum when more become availabl. I want to be able to offer the best product for the best price so I'm not rushing into anything. Made in USA quality is one of my strong points. Hopefully as the economy gets better, so will my prices. We are sold out of the ATV Mighty TiTe right now but will be available soo. The system will fit front tire sizes up to 27 x 10. With some minor modification, they will fit even bigger sizes. The rear tensioner uses your ATV trailer ball receiver and a special threaded end chain for a very secure set up. Hope this answers all your questions. If you have more, just give me a call at the number on the website.

I like the idea, but question the fact that if the rear tie down should somehow fail, then you really have no tie downs. The fronts could become ineffective while bouncing down the rough roads going into various trail heads. There needs to be a secondary, fail-safe attachment. Picture my scenario on a side loaded trailer.

Welcome aboard. Good Luck with your venture.

Hello Tumbleweed,
This is true but the rear tensioner is way strong. I have bounced my trailer with ATV onboard over a drainage ditch sending it 1 1/2 feet off the ground going 25mph and the 4 wheeler stuck like it was glued on. At some point it might break but I would hate to see what it would take to break it.

We've talked a bit about it in our group but not sure if it's legal because we have to have a 4-point tie down.

I love the idea though, I'm so sick of ratchet straps.

Thank You, QUICKrelease for your response to my questions. That is exactly what I was hoping for...clear, concise, and more info than I thought to ask for (as I run 27x10x12 tires on the front of mine). Also thank you for looking into working on the price. Every little bit helps nowadays, but I agree, I'd rather pay more for something that's built here and built strong.
Again, please post here when more become available, as I am definitely interested. If you're looking for people to test your system and write a testimonial/spread the word in return for a discount off the purchase price, I'd be willing to do that also. There are tons of ATV owners in my area. Either way, good luck with your venture, it looks like a winner to me.

Glad to see QWIKRELEASE here. We've decided to pass on the manufacturing of the system as we could not get enough cost down enough at this point to make it feasible for us to invest. But they are really good and sharp people at Mighty Tite and I think they will have a winning system on a number of levels.

Thanks for the great feedback. Have a good week everyone.
