I have paint so never tried it but have read here that heat takes scratches out.
I use 303 Aerospace Protectant for UV protection on all my plastics and it is an awesome product.

Quite a few threads on this, and good information in them too..
You will have alot of different answers, it all depends on if they are Scuffs, Scratches, Cuts, etc..
I'd say wet sand paper 600grit then 1200grit, then clean it good, swipe it with a torch and then use some wax. (Pledge is cheap aresol wax)

Check You Tube for using a heat gun and/or torches. I've done it before myself and works amazing plus it's a permanent fix not a "wax" fix.
Heat Gun is pbly the best way to go if your new to the idea of taking heat to plastic. Open torches work great but you can screw up very easily as well.
