Just wondering if anyone has raced either of these models up to 300 feet. Polaris claims these engines put out 50HP. Anybody get it on with one of these yet? I might have to race one soon.

my son has a stock predator 500 and our max beat him. we ran way more than 300 ft. i let off the throtle and looked back, he was real close though. then i ran against my other sons sportsman 800. he has big tires and a clutch kit, otherwise stock and he gave up after about 100 ft. that sure was a fun day. joe.

Watch out for that new Outlaw 525 with the KTM engine in it. It's not vailable yet but, other than the Renegade, it could be one of the quickest machines out there. I'd like to try one anyway.

Funny Polaris had to outsource their engines and go to an Austrian Engine maker that's right beside the Rotax plant to even be able to compete for speed and performance. I know about the new Polaris, that 525 KTM engine is death on two wheels, gonna be a sweet machine.

I have raced a piped and jetted predator and was able to take him with my stock max. Someone correct me if I am wrong but I thinkthe only difference between the predator and the outlaw is the rear suspension. Stock for stock the predator runs right with the older raptor 660's. I used to have a piped and jetted raptor and the outy could take it easily.

Also, a few months after the 800 came out, a guy with a predator showed up at Cowtown saying he did not believe all the hype about how fast the 800 was. They took him, his predator, and an 800down to the 300ft sand drags,he left that day REALLY ticked off lol.

FYI, Polaris owns 25% of KTM, hence the new KTM quad soon.

FYI I sell KTM. But we are getting out of em' cause Polaris bought 28% of KTM. And I will assume that the Can-Am name will include lethal dirtbikes in the near future. I have raced a prototype Outty 800in Fort Sask. at the StratoTech raceway last year against a 650 X and buy the time the 650 X was hitting 3rd gear, I was 30 feet in front of him.

I have race just about all race quads. The only quad that beat me was a 350 banshee, it was piped and jetted. I was right with him upto 50 mph then he would just pull away dunno how far we raced pretty close too 400 ft. I also beat the 700 raptor it was close....but I did have my 28" swamp lites on at the time LOL. Oh yeah when I raced the banshee I had the stockies on, I was happy how big red ran agaist it, as I amkinda thinkingthe banshee had more then a pipe and a jet kit.
