Is this Zylon Reinforced BRP belt new?

In the Maverick specs they list this:
Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with Zylon†-reinforced belt

Is this a new belt made to handle the higher HP?
I'm I missing something here?

First I heard of it was on the Maverick. I'm curious to see the clutch set up, still 6 weight Can Am clutch?

I'm very curious too! I hope this belt fits our ATV's.
I already told my dealership to call me when they get a Maverick in I'm going to dissect that thing with their mechanic. I'll still be giving it a year before I load one in my truck box. Let those bugs work themselves out first.

Just pulled the trigger on a qsc/stm and asked Adam if he could recommend a belt. He said that THEY are doing R&D on their own belt right now and it has held up to everything they have done to try and break it. Should be available in a month or so according to him when they are sure it's bulletproof. Thought I should throw that in.

I have a feeling that they are still using the 6 arm primary I'm sure that the new belt was built to handle the higher power and higher weight, Maverick is quite a bit heavier then a quad.

Who makes the belts for BRP? I know Kawy belts are made by Bando.
