What is the easiest way to convert my outlander 800 to a right hand brake lever? I have seen the kit that adds a right hand lever but I want to ditch the left hand lever all together and install a right hand lever that is front brake only. I have several ATVs and I want the controls to be the same on them all.

The KewlTek system is right-front only, left-front+rear and pedal-rear only

I thought I heard somewhere that the '08 Outtys were coming with split brakes. If that is true there would be a way to retro fit that system to ealier models. I am waiting to see if the rumors are true. The one from Kewltek is a black only brake handle and plastic from the looks of it. I don't think it matches the BRP one as far as shape and length either. If the new Outtys don't have one, I'll just buy the Kewltek and paint them to match.

That's my plan so far.

What about this DS right side setup....I haven't heard about that before. I would look into it but my boss just sold his DS and I haven't seen any others around.

OSOKILL, what kind of setup are you running? KewlTek or what? I like the left hand all brakes (I am used to my Polaris) but I would like to have right hand for front brakes only (like my Suzukis at work).

I have been thinking about this a little. Since I still haven't taken delivery of my Renegade yet, this is all in my head. I may buy the Kewltek setup and try to find a lever to match the factory one on the left side or get a Polaris lever for the left side to match the new right one. I will have to wait till I get back from my TDY sometime in the middle of May to work this out if sombody doesn't beat me to it.

The one from Kewltek is not plastic, you are right that does not match the color, however that is something that could easily be changed. I helped Outlandish install his Kewltek, and it is a easy install and a very nice mod!

Thanks Zac41 for the not plastic info. That was stopping a couple of people up here from getting it. We thought it would be plastic to match the newer Popos.

And now I understand OSOKILL. Very nice.

Now I have to make up my mind what to do. I'll probably just take the lazy way out and paint a Kewltek setup.

Osokill, didn't you have a "how to" on your brake set up? I thought I remembered seeing it a while back and can't find it now. I have thought about doing this mod.
