No problem, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing an order. I ship ASAP when I get one.

Hey Quad... how much is a little amount you are selling. I am doing the new bearings for my gade and a friends 650 outlander. Is one batch enough for both clutches???? And do you need anything extra for shipping up to me in Alaska?

Never mind the quantity question... I read the stickied thread and see it has enough for 4 tries. Just want to make sure you don't want anything extra to ship to me.

I finally broke down and got isoflex a while ago. It was the "long lasting" thing that got me, not the "unmatchable" lubing properties. But i've since seen in the BRP website parts diagram (2006 outty) where they recommended "LOCTITE 767 Antiseize lubricant" for the one way, and isoflex for the friction washer, both on the same diagram. I used another version of antiseize and it dried up after about 400 hours BUT that was way longer than the recommended 100 hours service interval

Since the topic was "suitable substitue for for isoflex" I thought I would ask opinions on Gunk Brake Caliper Grease. I happen to have a tube (as most of us probably do) in my tool box... I did a google on it and came across the following info:

FUNCTION AND APPLICATION:
Solder Seal/Gunk® Squeal Medic™ Caliper Grease is a molybdenum disulfide fortified synthetic lubricant formulated to lubricate under the most adverse conditions. It is excellent for lubrication in high temperature applications where other greases fail.

OUTSTANDING PROPERTIES:
Squeal Medic™ Caliper Grease has excellent corrosion resistance, a wide temperature range, and excellent extreme pressure protection. Squeal Medic™ Caliper Grease is non-melting and is water-resistant. It is excellent on all bearings and sliding surfaces in conditions above 500°F and is compatible with most rubber and plastic hardware including ethylene propylene rubber.

Sounds like a possible good substitue... any opinions.. besides the normal "why chance it... only use isoflex".

most bearing grease is very thick. isoflex is a very thin and light weight grease you will wonder if its even grease at all and maybe you grabbed a miss labled tube of neosporin. the forum here sells it in smaller quanity .... Id stick with the isoflex

What is the big cry and drama about this darn grease?

Guys buy 10k bikes and the complain about the cost of grease

I got Isoflex 50g tube at 25 bucks plus shipping, ended up just under 30 bucks.
