throwout bearing
anyone have a picture of this "throwout bearing"? if so can you post it please. and what would i do to this part if this seems to be my problem as well? if lube it, with what specific lube? my outy's clutch has ben torn apart for a week now. having this same problem as everyone else in this thread. just finished my snork but am now waiting for parts to show up. got my new belt in and im also repacing the tiny springs that sit in the primary rod behind the one-way, and the spring cap from the primary spring. it looked pretty wore down and had small chips in it.

problems with primary
For what it is worth... I had problems with the primary on my 400 - squeeky noises - impossible to shift gear - so, I took the primary apart, including the two bearings, removed the seals on the bearings with the tip of a sharp knife - big surprise - no grease left - just chunks of some brown s***ite! one of the bearings would not even turn - so, I cleaned the bearings thoroughly in alcohol and called the guy at my dealer/workshop, who is also a friend of mine and asked him if I could use isoflex inside the bearing, which he confirmed was ok - so, I fed the hungry bearings isoflex, put the seals back on and stuck the bearings back in, greased the shaft with isoflex, put everything back together and now the yellow baby shifts beautifully... - check out the photo of the bearings - before and after...

I used isoflex because I have 400 grams of it.. http://www.resyl.net/imgs/isoflexnb52.JPG - I guess you could use ordinary wheel bearing grease or some other kind of grease for bearings - not sure.... - ask autozone what is suitable for sealed bearings - or you could get new bearings from here: 6808RS Bearing 40x52x7 Sealed:Ball Bearings:VXB- they are fast shippers - I had them in my mailbox (Norway) within 10 days after I ordered them for my wife's 800.
more about isoflex: isoflex

You can get "isoflex" on this site. Send "Outlandish" a PM.
