you'd need the racing ECU, which you have to be a can-am sponsored racer to get it. as for an aftermarket ECU, talk to mrrpm, he's worked with a few.
Diamond G Racing is supposed to have a replacement ECU out before too long......I need to call Don and check the status....

you're RPM's will drop as it drops a cylinder when it hits the rev limiter. bouncing off it is not a good thing. the A/F ratio goes WAY high when it happens. you probably don't have enough power to hit the rev limiter in high gear.

i'm looking forward to what they'll have. then the next thing will be to decide if its more cost effective than what mrrpm finds works best on these bikes.

I have not talked to Don in a while, but this new ECU is supposed to raise the rev limiter and adjust for timing....
It is a total ECU replacement...similar to the Race one....

if its a replacement ECU that allows for manipulation of timing and rev limit, but still retains all the factory sensors and gauge, then it'll be a great option.

From what I understand about it....the only thing that does not work compared to the OEM ECU is the DESS security thing....which is no big deal....

well that could be a great option for higher rev limit and timing control.

OK, my 2008 800 Rene-X, with 26" BH 2.0 and a green/yeller spring hit 79.854 on pavement but it took some time after 75 mph. And this was on the GPS. 2 days ago I was on a lake, exact same set up, just enough snow to cover the ice, 3lbs in the rear tires and 4lbs in the front. It was -20 celsius and I hit 70 mph. Im happy with that. Oh, and I forgot to mention... K and N filter and a Supertrapp Mudslinger slip on. I love my machine !

I had mine up to 65 mph with my son (130lbs) on the back looking over my shoulder to see how fast. I wanted to keep my eyes on the gravel road. I know that is slow compared to others. I think it may go faster, but I have not guts, nor need to find out. I know a little clutch work would be good in any case. Even just stock, I can out perform all of my buddies, so I'm happy.
