BUDS Software

where can i get BUDS software from. i dont live in the USA, my quad check engine light is on(blinking) purchased the shop manual, so it says i need BUDS to clear the code.
Or alternately are there any dealers that i can send my EMC unit by to have the codes clear so i can ride

buds is dealer only. you also need the interface device, cable and a password.

codes do not stop you from riding. A key cycle will reset it. If the code returns, you need to fix it- not clear it.

THanks, so key reset is on-off three times? if yes i did that and the fault returned, this time the light was on steady no blinking. Since i need BUDS and i am not a dealer nor can i send my bike to one.
any dealers on the site want to make a trip to sunny Barbados to fix fix my problem? if you do (or your boss says yes) send me a PM

i cant fix it if i don't know what i am looking for and it seems BUDS is my only resolution

a key reset is just off. then back on.

You can check the code without buds. You have a service manual. The info to check codes and what they are, are in the manual.

A little secret. Some codes don't display. The code will be set, but it will scroll "No Actice P Codes"

The trick to get these is to keep checking codes. After the 3rd or 4th time, you will see the code flash really fast (too fast for the eye to fully read)

What you need to do is video tape the dash. Keep checking codes till it flashes it.
Now go watch the video and freeze frame it.

With the code and manual, you should be able to find the fault. You do not need to ever clear the code memory. Once fixed the check engine light will go away.
= buds is not needed.

no dash, all that is there is fuel neutral and check enginge lights, nothing with P codes or anything of the sort

well no communication from the dash to ecm will set a code. Why do you not have a dash display? Is it broke? It doesn't scroll anything? even at start up?

Are you saying you can pull up number codes on your dash by cycling the key? I have a 2009 DS450 manual does not say this, please explain?
