One way bearings for easy shifting

Thanks to all for the input. The vbx bearings worked great!! I now installed them on my second outlander.
I do use isoflex as a lubricant for the one way bearing.
My Outty's both are 2005 400's and have had this problem since new. We use them for everything from plowing, hauling deer, planting food plots to trail riding. So they are not only a tool but for alot of fun in the mud.
After breaking off a shift lever, cleaning and lubing multiple times the new bearings were the ticket!!

Was working on my clutches as I came across this. It shifts hard and you kind of had to pop it in gear, sometimes would creep. So I pulled it apart, one of the bearings doesn't even turn! got it broke free, I also noticed almost no grease, really sticky leftover crud. Also the friction spacer seal thing is stuck pretty good had to pry it off. I ordered some stuff today!

I installed my VXB bearings last night and all I can say is WOW!!!!! My machine is shifting like a piece of cake. It was shifting so easy I could go from H to P without knowing. One other thing I noticed was with my original bearings is when it was in park or neutral the belt would not be turning. Now in park or neutral it spins. When I go into h r or l the belt stops spinning.

Isnt that the other way? That it should not spin in N or P, if youre bearing are working great? Giving less tension to the gearbox?

I just did this mod myself today, and i`m not to happy yet.. Used the VXB bearings, and greased up the oneway like i should..
My secondary never spins in N or P, and i still have to hump alittle to go from R to H or L, or from P and into any gears..

Perhaps it will get better after some driving? Just been testing in my drive way tonight.. alittle gearing, and some idling in gear, in N etc..
