Default Warning-Check your Air filter "Air Tube" & Get Update Elbow!! See photos

..this may be duplicate/Old/Or new news for some..but look at the enclosed photos of the factory initial air filter plastic elbow "Tube". Dealer said they have done a few major engine repairs, because the air filter "Falls Off" the original elbow tube during the installation or riding..The enclosed photos show the new upper one with the lip..my old one on the lower photo, shows the short and missing lip that would hold the fastner clamp on better..you can see the New Revised one has a "Lip" on it. The lip holds the clamp and filter better...JFI the new tube is about $10.00. I bought one right away! If you plan on keeping your atv..get the new tube..! The new Can-Ams already have this update...

Default Air Filter

Thanks for the post. My K&N filter was about a 1/4" from falling off. I will be ordering a new elbow tomorrow.

Pitch the tube and filter and put a 09/10 filter on and do away from it all together and gain some ponies.

will the 09-10 air filter and adapter mount right up to the existing air box or will some changes need to be made.
