New update. they have the bearing, and has been brought out to the airport in Yellowknife, and has been tossed onto a charter flight up here this afternoon.
I should be able to press it in this evening and have it back on the road....hopefully.

You're getting better warranty service than some guys with a dealer in their town.

I lived in Yellowknife for 18 years. My brother was the parts guy for 6 years, and now is on sales.
The guy I bought the 800 off of is an ex employee who moved up to a better paying gig, but remained close to the company. Plus he just picked up a brand new Harley on Saturday...they are all still in nice mode
A great bunch of guys there, really helpfull and knowledgeable, and the owner is a super down to earth guy.

Careful with impact drivers, better to use a torque wrench, IMO.

no i disagree, i saw yet another secondary spin off the was torqued properly at can-am nat's last week. talk to the racers who pull these things off all the time.............the consensus opinion is that the oem torque specs are inadequate.
i'm not saying to sit there and hammer on it but it's okay to run it down with authority.

OK, take a deep breath, count to 10, kick the dog, fix the quad, ride.
How "stuck" is the remains of the bolt?
I'm still voting for the torque wrench. Racers probably have a big supply of spare parts and a big toolbox..............think I might order a back-up bolt.
