wow, that's a new one. the bearing can be pressed out and replaced, but i highly doubt any dealership stocks them.

i recently replaced the bearing in mine. replaced it with a timken 205pp. should be able to pick one up at any autoparts store. the timken bearing is alot smoother than the cheapy stock. i replaced it when i put in the new bearings in my oneway. i dont know why they charge so much for a machine and put crappy parts in where it wouldnt cost much more to put a better one.

I maybe wrong but I don't think Harvester xt
can just go down to an autoparts store.
Must be nice, at times.

no where in nanavut that would carry parts? it is a common bearing where i work. if you cant get it there then i for sure wouldnt have the dealership send another of their crappy bearings up to you. that part number is crossreferenceable (5 dollar word). hope some of this helps.

Spoke to my brother (works at the BRP dealership), the machine is till under warranty, so he's going to see if he can just send me up the whole secondary on Saturday.....even mentioned robbing it off of another bike and reordering it to replace so it can be here by Saturday if there isn't any in stock.

Ummm.... Dan, not sure if you know where Nunavut is, but it's really not that populated (at least from my experience of it)
Good luck with the repairs Harvester - here's hoping that no more problems occur.... How do you get around the issue of timely repairs? Order duplicate parts of everything and just keep them in the back room somewhere?

Pretty much, for our Heavy equipment, we have a stores room where we keep a years worth of filters and what not.
Any large items like engines, transmissions, or new cutting edges will come up on sealift once a year.
I've just ordered two of everything I need for services on the 800.
