Default LED headlight light bulbs

Has anyone tried LED headlight bulds ? I saw various listings for SMD LED 9003 and H4 light bulbs. I wonder how bright these are? I'm tempted to use these in the stock location of my '06 800 MAX XT because they should use less current leaving extra power to run a couple of handle bar mounted halogen 55 watt lights. I attached a sample ebay listing.

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

I tried a very similar set of bulbs, and they were not very bright at all, noticably dimmer than the stock 35 watt bulbs. And they also made the high beam indicator light up on the dash. Not to mention there was no difference between low and high beam setting.

I have been running normal automotive xenon H4 bulbs in my 400 for several months with no problems.... although i rarely use the high beams since "low" beam is more then bright enough for most riding.

One of the better night LED's I have found is the C. Crane BNB Bright Night LED Nightlight Bulb. This bulb consisting of 4 diodes making the distribution of light very even. Priced at under $5, the manufacturers rate that you will gain about 60,000 hours of usage out of one. Best Led Headlamp However, from my experience you will find that the light will start to fade over an extended time. How long that will take seems to depend on the bulb.

I have tried these led bulbs. Now i am using 50 watts bulb
They were better than the halogen bulbs. Consuming low power and also bright.
My suggestion is to go with led bulbs.

Good Luck
