2006 Outlander 400
Just purchased a lightly used BRP Outlander 400... I am new to the Bombardier's and was wondering if there was anything I need to watch out for on the bike... got a good deal on what looks to be a monster, plus its yellow, so its naturally faster. Any help will be appreciated.

Welcome neighbor.
A monster 400, that's funny.
All kidding aside, I don't recall anything majorly wrong with the 400's.

400's are good machines. (I've owned 3 of them) You might want to throw a set of skid plates on it

sorry, im comparing it to the 2001 suzuki kingquad 350 that it is sitting beside... which has had the crap beaten out of it and keeps on moving... hope the outlander matches it.

2000+ Miles on our outlander 400 and it hasn't skipped a beat yet. A mod i recommend; T-M-2 pre-load adjusters. they stiffen the front end up a good bit if you find it too soft for your liking.

Welcome aboard and congrats on the 400 Outty!
I have never owned one, but people all say they are a great machine. The only time I drove one was when our 500 was at the dealer getting some warranty work done to it, and they gave us a used 400 Max to ride for the weekend. Nice machine for sure!
Maybe snap some pics of your quad and post them up here! And you are right, yellow is the fastest color!! LOL

they sell pre-load adjusters for the 400/500's. very useful for plowing, or just a stiffer ride in general. Call them and make sure they know what machine it's for, instead of ordering online.
