I have Silverstars, very bright lights too. But be careful with these higher wattage bulbs, don't let your bike idle too much with the lights on, it will suck the batetry down to nothing...if the speedo quits working, turn off the lights, it's about to die...

(Don't ask me how I know this...)

I think the engine needs to be up around 4700 rpm to begin charging the battery again, I always switch over the display to the tach so I can keep an eye on how I'm charging the battery when riding at night. These things will not do anything without a strong 12v source.

gibby, takes less then 15 min to do. and yes you will still have high & low beam.

outy dan, now piaa claim there bulbs yous less wattage then what they put out. now this could be true because i'v never had a problem letting mine sit with the lights on for a while....

Has anyone with PIAA 55W lights had battery or overheating problems?

I am looking at the PIAA Power Sports Bulb with anti-vibration - H4 Xtreme White Plus

I just put some silverstars in mine last night. Paid $32 for the pair.

My low beams are now brighter then the old high beams, wider and farther.
High beam is really nice.

I was going to mod the lights so that the lows would stay on with the high beams. but there's no need now.

I know the higher end bulbs are brighter yet, but for $32 it is night and day difference!

Have Fun!
Andy

you guys should see the lights on a renegade when it's side by side with an outty..

with my PIAAs, i'm still at less than 50 % of what the STOCK lights are on my friends renegade X

the diffrence is night and day..so to speak..

I spoke to a Can Am rep at the Toronto Powersports show today. He said that with my 07 outlander putting out 400 watts, I should have about 140 watts to play with, and using these lights shouldn't be a problem.

On a side note, he said the side-by-side will be coming out in the spring. It will have two engine options; big and bigger! I assume the big is the 800 and the bigger is ......?
