Putting new heated grips on, any hints on getting the grips on easy? I had a rough time with the first ones on my other outlander.

I just put BRP heated grips on my Renegade. I just scaped as much of the old glue off, wiped the bar with alcohol and slid the grips on. I did have to use a board and hammer to tap it all the way on but it was quite easy.

Hair spray works very good for installing grips.

Default Easy Install

One of the ways i have done it, is to get some heat resistant spray paint and spray the bars. They usually slide right on. I have used the hair spray trick and it works pretty good but once they get wet they tend to roll. Good Luck...

I second the paint method with a little pursuasion from a rubber mallet. Just tap them on hitting the grip nice and straight and don't get them on too far as to "pinch" the wire.

The moose grips I bought suggested right in the directions to boil them in water for 3 min, that recomendation was if I was trying to put them on an Outty. After you had to wd40 them and that creates the chemical reaction for em to stick. I thought the last part was kinda weird, but it worked.

Question Grip HOW TO?

I'd like to install heated grips and thumb warmer but have no experience with quads to speak of(Just installed full set of Rico's). Are the heaters plug'n play? Hook up under the pod somewhere?

cheers and thanks.
