Wiring harness near fuse box

Take it easy on me guys.
I got my 2010 800R back from the power steering recall and the wiring harness just to the rear of the fuse box was unplugged. Is this for diagnostic communication? What happens if it is left unplugged? SHould it be plugged in?

The diagnostic plug has a terminator plug in it. (this is needed). If they forgot to reinstall, go back and get it. The harness itself is a few inches long and is either tie wrapped to the engine harness or can just dangle. (but it needs the plug/cap)

Wiring Harness

I believe that one is to the left when facing the front of the machine. The one I need to know about is to the rear and middle of the fuse box. I have plugged it back in now. Does anyone know what it is for and what would happen if it was left unplugged (I just happened to look in the fron compartment when installing my Rigid 10" light).
