Default Outlander 800 fast or high idle ?

I have a 2007 Outlander 800, my concern is it idles pretty high for what is recommended. It idles about 1650 warm or cold, the manual I believe say about 1200 +-. any ideas. has about 3000 miles on it starts really well runs strong.

You may need to adjust the throttle cable or throttle itself. The shop manual also says to check the Bypass Idle valve and connectors on the intake manifold. I guess the Idle valve is a way of adjusting the Idle. I'll see if I can get some pics from the manual.

Ok thanks one place to look. I know its not the cable or anything like that, I checked all thea stuff first.

that is a high idle . my 07 800 max idles at 1150-1200 rpm , and when cold it may idle at 1350-1450 for a couple of minutes then drops back to normal . Get that looked at .

there may be some kind of service bulletin on it, last time I had mine at the dealer they changed my Idle bypass valve for me under warranty and I had no complaints about idling issues.
