I have looked into it and all you really need is upper a-arms about $105 each, 8 a-arm bushings at $4each, 4 sleeves at $4.50 each, 2 upper ball joints at $30 each, knuckles $104 each, upper mount $35, upper shock mounts $10 each and shocks your choice. The lower a-arms and wheel bearings are the same.
I decided just to change the struts out to the Works racing units instead for $400

So how do the works struts work? Are they worth the money or not? I am debating on whether to buy some or not. I also thought about the spring kit from crutchfield. My front end is sagging and I like the ride height.

I had the same problem on my wifes 07 500, so I put 1in spring spacers on the struts and within 2 months they were blown. Leaking oil all over the place. I dont know if anyone else has had that problem with the setup on the 500, but it was enough for me to let it go.

Talked to Ed already and crutchfield doesnt make front struts for the 400 and 500. All they offer is the spring kit.

Hey there, I have a 08 500 XT aswell. Hated the stock struts, nothing but trouble on a few sets... all replaced under warranty but it sucks taking the bike in all the time. About a year ago now I bought the works struts and they are amazing compared to the stockers. A year later and they are still going strong. O ya, its a pain in the ass changing them out though.
