Default Stock Skid Plate/Undercarriage Bracket

Hey everyone,

Brand new to the site and this is my first post. I am picking up my 2010 650 XT-P Outlander this Friday and am going to get a plow with it...The dealer carries two brands..Moose and American Eagle..I understand each has an undecarriage mount that attaches to the bottom of the quad...My question is: How is the "stock" plastic skid plate (that practically runs the entire length) affected? Does the skid plate need to be removed, or is it in two pieces or what?

Also, I am not married to either of these plows and would rather not alter the skid plate. However, I will if necessary...If anyone has other plow suggestions where I do not need to redesign the skid plate, please pass them along..

Thanks in advance..

I can't wait to ride this thing!!

Hey, welcome and congrats on the new ride! I have an '09 outty. I bought the 60" Moose plow and had to remove the plastic skid plate (one pc.) to mount the plow mount, will be putting the plastic skid back on once the snow melts.

Okay...After getting your post, I checked the Can Am website and got a good look at how the skid is fastened...It does not appear to be that big of deal..

Thanks for your post..
