Exclamation 08 650 outlander PROBLEMS!!!

:th_smilie pullhair:My 2 month old atv runs great for a hour or so and then get hot and will start hesitating and sputtering so bad that you can hardly go anywhere. No warnings come on the speedo... I have drained the tank checked the check valve, looks like pump and filters are fine. It only happens after the bike gets warm and it seems like the fan stays on for a good while b/f cutting off. Radiator seems good, no mud in it and full of fluid. I can let the atv sit for 30 min and it will run fine until it gets hot again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The local dealer won't honor the 3 yr warranty b/c i have 30s on it and its snorkeled...

Thanks

Same thing happened to my 2010...'cept the engine light came on and it went into limp mode. Same symptoms though...Wound up being a faulty map sensor. Good luck!

Fuel pump not holding pressure? I've heard people talking about the same symptoms and it was their fuel pump.

Sorry didn't see that this was an older post. Did you get it fixed? What was the problem?

I have an 800 outlander max xt and have had the same problem. We would ride about an hour and the machine would go into limp mode. After two trips to the shop the radiator was replaced (old one collapsed) and a new radiator cap was installed. This problem started with less than 200 miles on the machine. Be advised that nothing showed up on the computer when the machine was diagnosed at the shop. I think the new radiator is a 2010 model, the mechanic said that it has better flow compared to the old radiator. So far, the machine is running a lot cooler and has not gone into limp mode. Going elk hunting this weekend, should be a good test. Hope this helped.

Mine is STILL having issues! There is a lengthy post on another forum on what they are saying is wrong with mine now.ATTN 2010/2011 can-am owners - can-am ATV Forums - can-amtalk.com And it seems to be an issue with many as more and more people read this post and check their own machines.
