as for the rotax 1000 going in an ATV, it'll happen eventually. but it still isn't as much power as the aftermarket big bore kits. heck, an 840 with cams will put out more power.

Well then a can am 1040 with cams lol :th_smileraz:

nah, the big bore kits i've heard of are already well over 1040 cc's :thumbsmilie:

I do not understand what you write here? 840 - what's this? There are some kits for more power, you can link to them? Producer dobovlyaet power a teaspoon, it's time to add for real!

i know the english to russian translators do not work very well. i doubt the russian to english work much better.

Я знаю, с английского на русский переводчик не работает очень хорошо. Я сомневаюсь, с русского на английский работать гораздо лучше.

with the 975 big bore engine upgrade and cams, the motor will put almost the same power to the ground as the can-am 1000 puts out at the crank:

с 975 большим отверстием обновления двигателя и камеры, двигатель положить почти такой же мощности на землю, как Can-Am 1000 выдает на двигатель

I cant wait to see what mrrpm does with the 1000 cc when he gets into one of those.

expect the capacity of well over 1200 cc's. the 975 jugs with the added stroke from the 1000 would put it around 1179 cc's. the 1107 jugs would put the 1000 around 1339 cc's!!! but the heads are going to need to be opened up a LOT in order to handle that much air flow.

Thats getting crazy... But you can never have too much power. Even though i onnly have a 500 but atl east theres room for upgrading.:yahoo:

canambadas07 12-21-2010 07:41 PM

Shouldnt the stock 1000 commander with mr rpm gen 2 cams put out the same hp as his 800cc to 976cc big bore kit with just gen 2 cams or close to it? (80rwhp)
How is stroking a crank to get more cc not as good as just putting a bigger bore and piston in ?

canambadas07 12-21-2010 07:43 PM

Or is the higher cr piston on the big bore making the diff in power

it is quite possible, but won't know till the cams are tested in the 1000. but do you have any comprehension about how much it will cost to put a commander motor in the outlander? it's been done already, and it isn't cheap. and who said stroking to get more CC's isn't as good as bigger bore?
