Can-am Outlander Problems
I have a 2008 Outlander Max XT 400. Bought it in Michigan used but it only had 18 miles on it. Rode it up in Alaska and started having problems with the engine dying. I figured the fuel may have gone bad since the guy I bought it from had basically let it sit for three years. Used something called heat and it ran fine for about 60 miles. Then this weekend the electronics all died after I received a high rpm idle warning. It was completely dead and had to be towed back by my brother's Honda Rancher which has been through hell and still runs great.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Welcome to the site.
Might be better to start a new topic in the "outlander forum", as a lot of people don't watch the newbie intro forum.

Welcome to the forum. First thing I would check is the battery terminals to make sure they are tight.

Like said check the battery connections make sure your kill switch is in the on position! Dont laugh I have seen this a few times.
If you rode thru any water start checking connections and adding dielectric grease.

Skunky gas is a bad thing as well. Once you drain the old gas I would put prem fuel in and change the oil. Plus, you might as well change the spark plugs. Like some of the other fellows mentioned check the battery connections.
