Front drive shaft boot replacement. Help!

Can anyone tell me how to change the boot on the front drive shaft on 2006 800 Outlander XT. It has dry cracks, the parts are ordered. Looks as though the u-joint is the key.
I am approching 6,000 miles.

Thank's,
Yellow rider

You answered yourself lol. you have to take the bolt out on the engine side no 69 on the pic. than you can pull the shaft backwards and all other work will be easy.

Yep! 13m ratchet wrench works wonders with this. Its spring loaded so use some wd-40 and pull it forward ( towards the front diff) and it comes right off!

I'll give it a try as soon as parts arrive. I hate to be down too long. Thank you all so much!
