What is the trick to get the secondary clutch back on? i get it slid on a little ways and then it seems like it hits something on the shaft and i cant get it to go on any further?

The sec spring has a LOT of pressure, you have to make sure the helix fingers fit into the three slots in the back of the secondary. It takes a LOT to push it in hold it and start the bolt at the same time. Get a friend to help, way easier.

Push harder lol. Make sure the helix is lined up with the hollow spots on back side of inner sheave. Ive had secondarys off allot. Can take one off and put it back on in about 2 mins. Not counting taking clutch cover off of course.

Watch this vid, at 1:06 it talks about the secondary. Adam makes it look easy because he does it a lot.

Biggest thing to worry about are the splines on the shaft that the helix fits into, if those arn't aligned when you put it back on then there will be some serious issues. As for the helix not lining up with the clutches... I can't even see that happening personally, They are such big holes for the helix, and ramped for that matter..

You can put it on so the helix and secondary don't line up. Seen a guy do it. The best way to test to see if it's lined up is to put the bolt in clutch to open up sheaves. If they don't line up the sheaves will not open..
