The rene and outty will run better with a controller without any pipe. John has tested and tested these machines. Even with a slip on you SHOULD have a fuel controller. Read his threads, I've been to his shop, put my stock 1000 on the dyno, John knows what he's talkin about. I'm not a loud muffler guy, but i'm goin with the dual muzzy cause i will gain 8rwhp with the quiet cores and spark arrestor in. I do like speed though,,hehehehe

I know next to nothing about fuel maps etc. so I feel I need to listen to the experts, I have to take more stock in VforceJohn's opinion who has spent hundreds of hours tuning bikes on a dyno vs. a dealer that's probably never seen a dyno. If he says it's needed, then I believe it.

he's on holidays ATM or I bet he'd be responding to this thread.

Yeah def get a controller when adding a exhaust! I was just explaining to the folks how to see if the bike is running leaner or richer. The bike comes from the factory running a lil lean so it will pass emission test. So you need to change that to get the real potential out of the bike.

never trust a dealer telling you about mods,,,hehehe.. only if he's done it to his machine. If you ever have any questions, go to John's website, his cell number is on there, call him and he will talk to ya and not rush you off the phone. I qaurantee after you talk to him you will have all your answers, and probably gettin the muzzy duals,,lol. He's a super nice guy that doesnt BS. He's on vacation now, i believe he's at mud nationals

Another guy to talk to would be Kevin @ Get Torqed. All he does is mod Can Am's everyday on his dyno. He could tell you everything you need to know.

780-465-5780 ask for Yves or Kevin.

Well I ordered the Two Brothers slip on today. I'm going to try it with out a programmer while monitoring the plugs closely. My dealer told me I can run a slip without a tuner but if I do install a programmer the warranty is void… So I hope it works out!
