Yes, and they are coming off my 2003 outy. luckily for a quick fix i used colored electrical tape to help keep them on. I don't know if it is the adhesive or the heat from the engine. but i know replacements are expensive.

I figured it was probably temperature related too. My bike has not been one of the heat wrinkling machines like some havebeen though. It may be just a coincidence that I noticed it in the "cold" weather, and I use the term lightly at the risk of offending those who truly know what cold is. My bike has never been exposed to anything less than about +20 degrees Farenheit. At first I suspected a temp difference during the day, but even that would not be as extreme as most anywhere else. I keep the machine garaged when not riding. What I did notice with the stickers in hand was that they are pretty stiff and not real pliable. The thikness makes the sticker durable on it's own, but it does not cohere to the soft plastic as well which is effected by heat and cold. I dunno, just thinking out loud and probably not evenworth :2cent:.

Luckily i have not cracked my plastic. the (plastic rear racks broke) but they are junk anyways. I was going to try and see if the new metal ones on the 2006 and up models would work. Line up ok, just i'd have to replace the front brushguard and right now since i'll probably be selling this in the coming year, figured i'd forgo that and just replace with oem.
The plastic racks on the 2003-05 outys isn't meant for heavy loads. or a big box full of gear. More suited for soft bags instead.
I have friends that have the 2006-07 outys and they have not had plastic cracked or stickers come loose. I don't know why some do and some don't, maybe just pure luck of the draw. Just like the springs need to be replaced on some and some have had frame probs.( i have not) probably cause i installed skids before i did any serious riding.
From what i have heard, the 2008's have been improved. Hope so cause i plan on getting one this summer if all goes well.

Wow, its only supposed to be 70 degree here today and the rest of the week in the 60's. I'll trade you pinks for the temps. Nah J/K.
I noticed just this past week that my stickers are peeling up, the main ones on the side and one on the rear but none are these get very hot. The one in the rear actually broke in half. Now it just says "Can". Hey that's pretty cool. I think I'll keep that on there like that.
