push4racing, Can-am should use you in a commercial, or atleast the atv brochure.

Lets face it.... after all the quads and bikes I owned over the years - even if these beasts were not as solid and long lasting they are I would pay the price for the seat of the pants pull and smile factor!

Default How many Miles??

I am new to quading and I was wondering what can be expected for longevity of a 800 outy?
I know there are so many different riding styles and mods that everyone has.
I am thinking of a stock bike running trails and mountains and hardly any deep water or mud, mostly gravel road and trails but some technical where you have to ride in 4x4 low for several miles per ride.

So how many miles can a guy expect to get from his bike before he will need major work like engine rebuilding, transmission failure, diff rebuilding?
In otherwords at what miles should you sell off your used bike and get a new one?
I am just looking for a rough idea?
5000 miles? 10,000 miles? 30,000 miles? 50,000 miles?

The kind of riding your describing, a long time. Skid plates for the mountain riding so rocks don't bash your frame in, and a lot of dirt roads you might want to filter your crank case vent line that comes into your air box to keep the dust from the bottom of your motor. JMO.
