I used RickyStator for some Banshee upgrades. The parts are as advertised and working to present. Got an adjustable timing plate and a 200W stator upgrade. Quality pieces and reasonable prices but never dealt with anyone over the phone...heh An azzhole is an azzhole, but all the same its what they do so I dont see the impossible part of all this...heh
Possible not enough complaints to CanAm for them to put in a Recall?? By all rights it seems they should feel inclined to do something about it.

As stated earlier the stock Yuasa battery is the weak link. Upgrade to an Odyssey PC 680 and your troubles will be over. This is not a conventional battery by any stretch of the imagination. It is the only ATV battery that is two batteries in one. It is a starting battery with 680 cranking amps for 5 seconds at 0 degrees Fahreheit then if the starter is continuously depressed it for 30 seconds at 0 degrees Fahreheit it eventually goes down to 220 cranking amps, still above the Yuasa at initial startup. Who would ever continuously crank their bike for 30 seconds in bitter cold? Ricer Boyz with their Honda and Acuras use this exact 680 PC battery for their main car battery to save weight - 15 lbs. The US military uses them in Blackhawk helicopters and other applications.
It is also a deep cycle battery for continuous discharge and recharge. It is designed for over 400, 80% discharges and recharges. No other battery is designed for this type of abuse.
It is an absorbent glass mat dry cell that can be mounted in any position. The PC 680 is the replacement for 1500 cc Honda Goldwings and big Harley Davidsons, but it slides right in the Renegade battery box.
Visit Odysseybatteries.com for more info. The list price is $141 US but I have found them for less in Canada. Shop around and as a bonus, they are made in USA.
Slide one in and winch away, you'll never see a low battery light or limp home code again.

Speaking of batteries, I have 2400 miles on my battery. How long until I should swap it out?
